Memorial Weekend cousin backyard camp out.

Memorial Weekend parade watching from Gigi's driveway on Main Street.

We have been watching Masterchef Junior so the kids wanted to have their own cooking competition. They chose scrambled eggs to cook for their competition.

First day at the pool for the summer season.

Travis and I decided to go to Dodge City for sushi for our anniversary. The weather was iffy but we decided to go anyway. We were north of Bucklin on Hwy 400 when we decided to turn south to Bucklin and go back. Well, that turned out to be the wrong decision as we turned right into the storm. As we headed south towards Bucklin there was debris flying across the road and the pickup was being pushed around by the wind. It was a little nerve wracking to say the least. As we got into Bucklin the sirens were going off. Later after we got home I saw a picture of the radar on facebook and we had gone right through the tornado warning area. Should have kept going to Dodge!
Truman is in Tball and Amelia in machine pitch this year.

The night off our anniversary, the storms that went through had alot of awful lightning. Around 11, I went out on the porch to watch it for awhile then went back in. A little bit later I heard big engine noises so I looked out to see what it was, and it was the firetrucks going past our house. Kern's new house had been struck by lightning over the garage and started on fire. Luckily they weren't living there yet, but it was a devastating loss and setback in the construction.

Another summer of kids art classes at 5.4.7!

Katie Lee invited Amelia over for a tea party with their dolls.
Bike Across Kansas stopped through Greensburg this year. The kids did a lemonade and cookies stand to benefit the Kern's and the Kiowa County Library.

We host a group from Fort Hays State University for a tour of town.

Papa Bob's birthday.
