The 10th anniversary commemoration of the tornado kicked off on May 2nd with KAKE doing weather radio programming at Dillons. Jay Prater interviewed dad about the upcoming anniversary.
On May 3rd, we painted Stars of Hope with the kids at school. It was a fun time and neat to see the positive messages they came up with.
On May 4th, all 3 Wichita tv stations, KAKE, KWCH, and KSN all had satellite trucks parked outside The Big Well and did live broadcasts at 4, 5, 6 & 10pm.

At 9pm on the 4th there was a memorial service for those lost in the tornado with a moment of silence at 9:45pm.

| Dove balloons were released for each of the people that died. It was a beautiful night and they just floated up and hovered around the water tower. |

Almost 50 trees were planted on the new swimming pool block. All of the cousins were there to help plant and be a part of the day.

| This was the crowd for the Greensburg: The Small Town Reimagined documentary film that Grant and I worked on for the anniversary. Grant spent a week full of all nighters getting it done for that day. I am very proud of how it turned out and ugly cried at the end. |
