The 4th fell on Friday this year, which made for a great 3 day weekend. Thursday I had kids art class at the arts center and we tie dyed tshirts. Friday we had a pizza party at mom and dad's then fireworks with tanner and the boys. Watt was so excited about a tank firework that tanner got him. Saturday there were things downtown for the kids, bouncy house, firetruck spraying water, ambulance, artbulance, tractor. The kids loved it. Amelia was drenched and loved standing out in the spray of the firehose. Good Ol small town full.
That evening Ray and Pat had a fish fry out at their house. It was a great evening with friends and family with good food and croquet.
The only downside to getting rain is the mosquitoes. We have forgotten the last few years what they are like. That's the only thing drought is good for. I'll take some mosquitos though.
