The 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year.

On Wednesday the 3rd, we took the kids to the Dodge City drive in movie theatre to see Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University. We parked next to the Kern family and the kids went between our (Ray's) pickup and theirs.

It was fun. Truman fell alseep at the beginning of the 2nd movie and Amelia and I made it about halfway through the 2nd one. Travis was sitting in a chair holding Truman and Amelia and I laid down in the truck bed. It was a cool evening and nice and snuggly under a blanket with a breeze across our faces. We got home around 2:30 am.

For the 4th, mom and dad were having a pizza party at their house for lunch. We had pizza, summer beer, peanut butter cake, ice cream, and more. We swam, got some sun, then shot off a few fireworks.

Since it was a birthday party (America's birthday you know) the kids got to drink pop. And boy, did they drink pop, lots of it.
