Another Nice Saturday.

This was a fairly busy week. Monday I had an open house at the arts center, Tuesday was the KU/KSU Honor Banquet at the school, Thursday was an arts center board meeting.

Last night (Friday) mom came over for supper and to watch The Hunger Games. Dad is in California until Wednesday for a couple of speaking engagements and to see Aunt Anne. Mom and I had a nice time talking, watching the movie, and drinking too many gin and tonics. It was after midnight when she went home.

This morning mom and I went over to Haviland for an auction. We started off with getting coffee at Origins then went to scope out the auction. We didn't find anything that we wanted to hang around for, so we left and spent money instead at Thompson Greenhouse and Haviland Hardware and Grocery.

Today was another pretty nice day, weather wise. When mom and I got home from Haviland, Travis was getting the kids ready to go have a picnic and play at Davis Park. We went to Dillons for some chicken and other picnic stuff and had a nice lunch and play time at the park.

 After we left the park we drove around the lake. We came across a flock of yellow headed black birds. We stopped to watch them.

 When we got home, Ray was there to pick up Travis to go out to their house. I got the kids down for a nap and they went out to cut down cedar trees. After the kids woke up, we headed out there. We got out there and found Ray and Travis assembling a jungle gym to play on.

It was windy, can you tell by her hair?
