Long Weekend to Kansas City

This weekend Travis and I were able to take friday and monday off to make a nice long weekend trip with the kids. This is the first long trip we've had with the kids. We left thursday night afterwork. They slept several hours on the way to KC and did pretty good in the car.

Friday we went to the zoo in the morning and early afternoon.

 Friday night, 2 couples and their kids arrived at Hollie and Michael's to stay the weekend too. It was a house full, but not a crazy as I thought it might be. We had fun hanging out together and the kids had fun too. Saturday morning we cooked breakfast then got ready and headed to the Plaza Art Fair.

 Saturday night we watch a great KState-OU Football game and KSU won! It was even better that we were watching it with a bunch of OU fans. We were very kind and did not rub it in. We had another great breakfast Sunday morning with everyone then headed out shortly after. We decided to go to the Legends to the T-Rex restaurant. It was fun, but sensory overload. Lots of stuff to look at and lots of sounds. The kids enjoyed it. They had alot of big saltwater fishtanks that the kids liked and kept saying Nemo! Nemo!

After that we headed to Ottawa to stay the night at Gigi's house.

 We had supper at Bryan and Gayle's house. Everyone was there, Cole, Charlsie, Greyson, new baby Braxton, Kelsie. It was fun for the 2nd cousins to hang out.

All in all it was a great weekend. The only bad part was Amelia threw up in the car on the way home around Wichita. We think she just got car sick. We pulled over and I got her cleaned up the best I could then we were back on our way.
